MART AR 400 is a specially formulated surfactant technology fluid which represents a new direction for eliminating foam problems in metalworking fluid systems. MART technology reduces and eliminates foam in dynamic fluid systems by preventing the initial entrapment of foam (coalescing air bubbles) in all phases of the metalworking fluid chemistry. Traditional defoamers function by only reducing the fluid surface tension and attacking it at the air-liquid interface, essentially reducing the entrapped air which collects at the interface. MART technology initiates foam control at the molecular level by reducing air entrapment in the fluid and reducing or eliminating the coalescence of entrapped air bubbles which become the surface foam layer present in metalworking fluid systems. MART AR 400 is compatible with all performance phases of the metalworking fluid and does not accumulate at the air-liquid interface. MART technology exhibits baseline foam reduction and elimination under all flow condtions and is extremely shear stable. MART technology is fully operational and compatible with all types of metalworking fluids, both solution and emulsion technologies.
