Product Description

CT MSO-40 is a light viscosity fluid engineered from oxidatively-stable components to significantly reduce sludge formation and prolong useful life for both honing operations and Electrical Discharge Machines. This property provides a consistent film in the honing process, keeping the stone clean and effectively flushing away swarf for not only steel, but aluminum, magnesium and their respective alloys. As an EDM oil the product works as an insulator, however, readily ionizes at applied potentials for 40 – 400 volts to conduct efficient spark discharges.

Featured Benefits
  • High flash point for safe use during service life
  • Low volatility for reduced topping-up at high working temperatures
  • Good corrosion protection • Good cooling and quenching properties
  • Low viscosity to flush away swarf generated in honing or grinding operation
  • Clear appearance for operator to see the work piece
  • Excellent filterability
  • Non-staining to both ferrous and non-ferrous materials
